Knob-and-Tube & Aluminium Rewiring
Staged room by room so you never have to move out — with the insurance letter at the end.

What's actually involved
Knob-and-tube has no ground conductor, its insulation goes brittle with age, and it fails badly when buried under modern attic insulation. Aluminium branch wiring has its own well-documented problem at the terminations.
Most Ontario insurers now refuse or surcharge homes with either. The good news is that a rewire does not mean moving out — we stage it room by room.
Full inspection first
We map what is actually still live. Many homes are partially rewired already and only need the remainder.
Room-by-room staging
You keep power, heat and internet throughout. We work in sections and make good as we go.
Grounded circuits throughout
Modern NMD90 with proper bonding to every device.
AFCI protection
Arc-fault protection where the code requires it — the technology that specifically targets the failure mode old wiring dies from.
Minimal-damage routing
Fishing walls and using existing cavities wherever possible, so there is less to patch.
Insurance letter and certificate
A letter your insurer will accept, plus the ESA Certificate of Acceptance.
