Electrical Panel Upgrades
60A fuse box or 100A panel to a modern 200A service — permit and certificate included.

What's actually involved
If your home still runs on fuses or a 100-amp panel, you are living with a service that was sized for a very different household. Add an EV charger, a heat pump, an air conditioner and a hot tub, and the maths stops working.
Most Ontario insurers now surcharge — or outright refuse — homes still on a fuse box. A 200A service upgrade solves the capacity problem and the insurance problem at the same time.
Load calculation first
We size the service to what your home actually draws today plus what you plan to add, per Canadian Electrical Code.
New panel, mast and meter base
Complete service change — not just a panel swap — with new grounding and bonding.
ESA permit filed by us
By law the contractor doing the work must file the Notification of Work. We do it and pay the fee.
Utility coordination
We arrange the disconnect and reconnect with the local utility so you are not chasing anyone.
Labelled circuit directory
Every breaker identified and printed, so the next person to open that panel knows exactly what they're looking at.
Certificate of Acceptance
The ESA document your insurer and any future buyer will ask for. Included, not extra.
How the job runs
- 01
Site visit and quote
We inspect the existing service, run the load calculation and give you a fixed price in writing.
- 02
Permit and scheduling
We file the ESA notification and book the utility disconnect around your calendar.
- 03
Changeover day
Power is off roughly four to six hours while the service is swapped over. We work continuously to keep that window short.
- 04
Inspection and certificate
ESA inspects, and the Certificate of Acceptance is emailed to you — usually within a few business days.
Spread it over 36 months
On a job starting around $2,450
Indicative only — the figure above is simply the price divided by the term. Financing is arranged through a third-party lender, and the rate, fees and approval are theirs, not ours. Ask us on +1 (437) 551-9575 and we'll send the current options in writing before you decide.
Questions we get every week
Typically four to six hours on the changeover day. We tell you the window in advance so you can plan around fridges, freezers and anyone working from home.
